Watercolor, Watercolor, Watercolor

I think am to the sick of it stage of this watercolor a day thing. I guess I'll keep going and hopefully it will turn fun again.
Do you all ever have that problem when you working on something? Either with thumbnails or during painting? You know where you just don't want to work on it any more and then you keep going and it turns out all right after all.

  1. Yep. Been there.
I've found that when I get to the sick of it stage, it usually means that I'm just going through the motions and not really accomplishing anything or covering any new ground.
For my lighting designs, it usually means I need to reinterpret the rules of what I'm doing, and perhaps break a couple, take a couple of artistic risks to get to something new. How that would work for you, I don't know.

  2. Absolutely. There's almost always SOME point where I just absolutely hate any given piece and would hate for anyone to see it. I think that's partially because I layer so many different colors in and redefine my edges so many times throughout the process. The ugly usually turns to lovely in the end, but sometimes it's hard to not just chuck the whole thing and give up.

  3. You might be sick of it, but they are looking good. Give yourself a break and start again when you're less sick of it.
